ABOUT ARTIST
In 1992, after Eduardo’s high school graduation, he moved to Miami, Florida to study Architecture at the University of Miami, in Coral Gables. He was the first, and youngest, member of his family to pursue a professional career outside of Puerto Rico. Eduardo graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Art, and continued on to complete a Master degree in Urban Planning (Suburb & Town Design) from the University of Miami, with renowned Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk as the school Dean, program director, and active professor. During his program at University of Miami, Eduardo had the opportunity to study abroad in Rome, Italy, where he visited and documented, with sketches and photographs, many historic towns and cities throughout Europe. After graduation, Eduardo was able to develop his design and rendering skills while working at various Architectural and Urban Planning firms in Miami.
In July 2000, Eduardo reached one of his dream goals, and became an Imagineer, joining the Master Planning & Architecture team with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) in Orlando, Florida. Eduardo’s artistic skills range from sculpture, to pottery, drawing and painting with various mediums, to advanced knowledge and skills with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator programs. During his two decades with WDI, Eduardo combined the versatility of his skills, his creative talents, along with his Architectural and Planning background, to serve on numerous designs, artistic renderings, and executive presentations, on a large array of projects for Walt Disney Imagineering.
In 2020, Eduardo opened his creative studio “Design by Eduardo Hernandez-Robles” in Kissimmee, Florida, where he continues with his passion to make client’s dream projects a reality. Since then, he has provided design architectural services on multiple residential projects, mixed-used projects, medical offices layouts, as well as graphics and logo creations. In addition, he has managed to prioritize time out of his work schedule, to also focus on his art creations. Eduardo’s art is founded on deep personal experiences, with unique and creative stories. He hopes for his art to inspire others by highlighting the beauty, the light, and the positive aspects of life, always remaining hopeful even when bringing awareness to darker moments.
